Welcome from the Mapping Across Borders team! We are a mix of mapping and non-mapping people who are dedicated to building this site up into a strong user community where projects are undertaken and accomplished. We are responsible for fundraising, site building, curriculum design, video productions, in person training, reaching out to students, and working with organizations to design mapping projects.

Jason SadlerJason is a coding genius. When comes to advising Mapping Across Borders about which technologies to be using, Jason is one to ask. After graduating with his Engineering degree from McMaster University, Jason went on to work with a major player in enterprise content management, building websites and apps for mobile devices. When Jason isn't furiously coding, you can find him out and about with his camera, or playing a slick riff on his guitar |

David GunnDave is the educator of our group. When it comes to designing curriculum, you can't go too wrong by asking Dave to take a look. Dave Graduated from Trent University in 2009 with his education degree and has been teaching lately at a Montessori school near Toronto. When dave isn't enriching the leaders of tomorrow, he can be found shooting hoops, or scheming at the Settlers of Catan |

Brianne PetersBrianne is our expert in international development. When it comes to choreographing paradigm shifts in Development, Brianne is the only person to call. Brianne finished her masters of development at Carleton University in 2009, and has been working with the Coady Institute since then. Brianne is often found halfway around the world, but when she is at home she can often be heard singing a tune for the students at the Coady Institute in Nova Scotia |
Greg McQuatGreg is our spatial guru. When it comes to picking out objects in satellite imagery or LiDAR, Greg gives Waldo a run for his money. Greg finished his masters of physical geography and remote sensing in 2011 at Queen's University and has been working lately on designing optimal windmill placement in Southern Ontario. When Greg isn't busy mapping, he takes to the woods, setting up camp in the wilderness |

Michael MartinMike is the man with the master plan. When it comes to the vision and direction of MAB, he is the one to seek out. Mike is currently working on a doctoral degree at Simon Fraser University in Canada, and currently working at building MAB up. Before starting MAB and Mike spent his time living in East Africa, working with various NGOs on mapping related projects and teaching open source GIS. When Mike isn't spending time on MAB, you will often find him out with a camera or playing a fierce game of Mario Kart |
Jon CorbettJon is the maptivist. When it comes to engaging communities through map based discussions, Jon is a leader. Jon finished his PhD. at the University of Victoria, and has since been a professor at the University of British Columbia, designing and researching online mapping tools for public participation. When Jon isn't researching he can't be found, as he is often out cross country skiing or paddling on an unknown lake |
